Motorist killed after crashing into parked lorry

A motorcyclist was killed on the spot when he crashed into the rear of a lorry parked on the wayside in Ingiriya on Sunday night.

The motorcyclist, who was riding at a high speed on the Ingiriya – Padukka Main Road, had reportedly failed to control the bike and ended up crashing it.

The deceased had been identified as 42-year-old Sunil Anurasiri from the Wadukada area.

The remains are lying at the Ingiriya Hospital Morgue. Ingiriya Police are conducting investigations.
