Haputale Pradeshiya Sabha Budget defeated

The first Budget for the year 2019 was defeated by 8 votes in the Haputale Pradeshiya Sabha which was established by Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna together with United People’s Alliance.

Chairman B.K. Kanna of Haputale Pradeshiya Sabha presented the budget which was defeated by eight votes in a secret ballot, six votes in favour and 14 votes against the budget.

Haputale Pradeshiya Sabha comprises six members from United People’s Alliance, seven members from Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, seven members from United National Party and one member from Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna.
