HNB and Air Force in Netball Nationals Finals today

Hatton National Bank (HNB) and Sri Lanka Air Force qualified for the finals of the Dialog National Netball Championships held at the Indoor Stadium, Bandaragama. The finals will take place today (8) starting at 3 pm at the Albert F. Pieris Stadium, Wennappuwa. The tournament is being conducted by the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka.

Eighteen District Level teams took part in the tournament. The first and second rounds were held on a league basis. Unbeaten HNB qualified for the finals from the B Division. Air Force qualified from the D Division, winning two matches out of three. HNB and Air Force thus qualified for the finals.

The tournament is a talent search for the Asian Youth Netball Championships in Japan and the World Netball Championships in England in 2019. (SP)
