Unbeaten Blue Star Kalutara in the lead

Blue Star SC Kalutara were unbeaten and in the lead in the fifth stage of the Dialog Champions League.

Blue Star SC Kalutara have scored 13 points and have played five matches thus far. Last year’s defending champions Colombo FC are in second place having played three games, having won them all.

Navy Sea Hawks FC, Pelicans SC, Up Country Lions SC emerged winners last week in the sixth stage of the tournament.

The match between Ratnam SC and Solid SC ended in a two all draw.

RESULTS (STAGE FIVE) Navy Sea Hawks FC vs Java Lane SC: 3-2 (Navy Grounds, Welisara)

Navy Sea Hawks beat Java Lane by 3-2. Goals were scored by K.A.D. Madusanka in the 21st minute, M.N.M. Meera in the 31st minute and M.A.M. Asmeer in the 59th minute for Navy Sea Hawks. M. Rifkhan and M.A.J.M. Rishan scored goals in 65th and 74th minutes for Java Lane.

Pelicans SC vs Super Sun SC: 1-0 (Maliyadeva Grounds, Kurunegala)

Pelicans beat Super Sun by 1-0. K. Sobikaran scored the goal in 10th minute for Pelicans.

Ratnam SC vs Solid SC: 2-2 (CR & FC Grounds, Colombo 7)

The match ended in a 2-2 draw. Mohamed Akil and K. Didier scored goals in 30th and 59th minutes for Ratnam. Edison Figurado and S. Gnanaruban scored goals in 49th and 75th minutes for Solid.

Negombo Youth FC vs Up Country Lions SC: 1-2 (Kelaniya Football Complex)

Up Country Lions defeated Negombo Youth 2-1. Dinesh Abeyrathna and W.M.A.C. Wickramasi­nghe scored goals in 24th and 53rd minutes for Up Country Lions. B.A. Ashun scored a goal in the 20th minute for Negombo Youth.

A red card was issued to W.T. Dammika after the match due to indecent behaviour.
