Woman arrested with Kasippu in Mundalama

A woman who was selling kasippu had been arrested with a stock of kasippu bottles in a house in Marichchakattuwa, Mundalama, the Mundalama Police said.

“50 bottles of kasippu were in the house when the woman was arrested on a tip-off received by the Police that there was a large stock of kasippu in the house,” a Police Officer of the Mundalama Police said.

The suspect was produced in the court subsequently.

This raid was conducted by Police Sergeant Nawaratne (8054), PC Kumara (7421) PC Kumara (9021) with the direction of Police OIC of Mundalama Police IP Saman Ekanayake.
