‘GEE ANANDE 39’ IN COLOMBO

Veteran lyricist and journalist Ananda Padmasiri’s musical evening ‘Gee Anande 39’ was held recently at the New Town Hall auditorium in Colombo 7. It featured popular singers who sang Ananda Padmasiri’s selected lyrics penned during a career spanning 39 years. ‘Gee Anande 39’ also featured segments by Shadow Drama Queen Thamasha Jayasuriya who also joined in compering with seasoned Mahesh Nissanka. Vajira Edirimanne was the coordinator of the event while veteran actor Tissa Wijesurendra graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
