New members to five parliamentary committees

Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri yesterday announced the appointment of new members to five committees including the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA).

New members have been appointed to the Committee on Standing Orders, Committee on Privileges and Code of Conduct for MPS, Committee on Finance and the House Committee.

Accordingly, the members who have been appointed to COPA are Niroshan Perera,alizahi Mowlana, buddhika Path iran a, va sud eva Na na yak kara, du minda Dissanayake, Rohitha Abeygunawardene, Udaya Gammanpila, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Palitha Range Bandara, S. Sritharan, Thushara Indunil Amarasena, Chandima Gamage, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Dr. Kavinda Jayawardene, Hirunika Premachandra and Bandula Lal Bandarigoda.

Members appointed to the Committee on Standing Orders include Tilak Marapana, Ajith P. Perera, Chamal Rajapaksa, Chandima Weerakkody, S. Sritharan and Dr. Jayampathi Wick ram a rat ne. those who have been appointed to the Committee on Privileges and Code of Conduct of MPS are Gayantha Ka run atil aka, ti lak Mara pan a,Ranji th Madduma Bandara,mano Ganesan,ajith P. Perera, Susil Premajayantha, Sriyani Wijewi ck ram a, vi du ra Wick ram ana yake,E. Sarawanapawan and Mujibur Rahuman.

The MPS appointed to the Finance Committee are Susil Premajayantha, Dr. Bandula Gunawardene, Keheliya Rambukwella, Susantha Punchi Nilame, Bimal Ratnayake, Lakshman Wijemanne, M.A. Sumanthiran, H. Tilakaraj, Mayantha Dissanayake, Mujibur Rahuman, Wijepala Hettiarachchi, Dr. Ashu Marasinghe and Dr. Mohammed Ismail. New members of the House Committee include Ranjith Aluwihare, Thilanga Sumathipala, Nihal Galapatti, K.K. Priyadasa, S. Yogeswaran, H. Welukumar, Hirunika Premachandra, Isaq Rahuman and Kanchana Weerasekera.
