Ragama CA eliminate SSC

Ragama CA eliminated the defending Champions SSC by a massive margin of 108 runs, while NCC ended Kirindiwel­a CA’S unbeaten run by a narrow margin of 10 runs, to book their berths in the Semi Finals, in the quarter finals of the ongoing 13th MCA Inter Academy U-13 / 30 over League Tournament 2018.

The other two teams to enter the Semi’s were MCA “Blue” & CCC (2017 runners –up)

Ragama piled up 191 for 5 in 30 overs riding on a well compiled 76 runs by Thirika Gonsalves and restricted SSC to a paltry 83 for 7 in 30 Overs.

The clincher for NCC was the notable double by Mihin Munasinghe (42 runs & 3 for 29); Umeth Sendiya’s fighting innings of 86 runs for Kirindiwel­a, thus went astray.

A hurricane century by Lahiru Amaraseker­a ( 109 in 58 balls, inclusive of 04 sixes & 17 fours) propelled MCA “Blue” to a over whelming 158 runs win over new comer, Serendib Internatio­nal.

CCC proved too strong for the new comer Kingfisher, as they got shot out for 44 runs in 24.1 overs and losing by 10 wickets; The Kingfisher batsman had no answer to Thenishka Nanayakkar­a ( 3 for 4) & Prakash Gammaththi­ge ( 3 for 8)
