I have not decided to resign from Parliament -Sirinal

UNP National List MP Sirinal de Mel yesterday scoffed rumours that he is planning resign from the MP’S post in order to pave the way for Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga to come into Parliament.

“I have no plans to resign and allow Ms. Kumaratunga to enter Parliament though some are spreading false stories,” he said.

Several news websites carried a report recently that Mr. De Mel would resign in order to allow Ms. Kumaratunga to become a member of Parliament.
