Housing Ministry begins re-building flood-damaged houses in North

More then 50,000 people were affected and more than 150 houses damaged by the raging flood waters, in the Northern peninsula last month. Housing Construction Cultural Affairs Minister Sajith Pramadasa instructed Housing Authority Chairman and officials to re-build the damaged houses

Here National Housing Development Authority Chairman S. Palansooriya and his officials visited Mullaitivu, Jaffna, Mannar Kilinochchi and Vavuniya with the NHDA District Managers and launched the re-construction of the houses.

They also handed over relief items to affected families in the presence of NHDA District Managers, Mullaitivu Government Agent Roopavathi Kethiswaren and TNA parliamentarian Dr. Sivamohan were present.
