Navy Sea Hawks on top of points table
Navy Sea Hawks are on top of the Dialog Champions League (DCL) Football Tournament after completion of stage 15. The tournament is conducted by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka.
In second spot is defending champions Colombo FC. In third place is Blue Star SC and in fourth place is Defenders FC.
There are two more stages to complete the competition.
Stage 16 will be worked off on February 9 and 10.
Following are the results of Stage 15 worked off over the week-end.
Crystal Palace FC VS Pelicans SC (0-3) H.A. Darko, C. Godfred and E. L. Artet scored goals in 40th, 79th & 84th minutes for Pelicans.
M.H. Mohamed Shamil received a red card 39th minute for Crystal Palace.
The match was played at Digana Sports Complex.
Blue Star SC VS Solid SC (2-1)
N.U. Sunday scored 2 goals in 15th & 42nd minutes for Blue Star and C.E. Ilham scored a goal in 19th minute for Solid.
The match was played at Navy Ground, Welisara.
Renown SC VS Colombo FC (1-1) Dilip Suraj Peiris scored a goal in 87th minute for Renown and T.F.B. Dimitri scored a goal in 67th minute for Colombo FC.
The match was played at Sugathadasa Stadium.
Saunders SC VS Navy Sea Hawks FC (2-1)
S. Niresh and Kasun Jayasooriya scored goals in 30th & 93rd minute for Saunders. M.A.M. Asmeer scored a goal in 38th minute for Navy Sea Hawks.
S. Niresh received a red card in 84th minute for Saunders.
The match was played at Sugathadasa Stadium.
Up Country Lions SC VS Defenders SC (5-2)
Goals were scored by M.R.M. Fahim (42nd minute), M.R.M. Faizal (47th minute), A. Kwame (73rd minute) and Chandimal Wickremasinghe (2 goals - 88th & 92nd minutes) for Up Country Lions goals by Y.L. Jayathunga and A. Kwame (own goal) in 3rd and 70th minute were all time Defenders could manage.
The match was played at Jayathilaka Stadium, Nawalapitiya.
Negombo Youth FC VS Matara City Club (0-6)
B. Prince scored a hat-trick with goals in the 7th, 28th & 71st minutes, Larbi Prince scored two goals in 54th & 89th minutes and R.B. Weerappuli scored a goal in the 93rd minute for Matara City Club.
The match was played at Kelaniya Football Complex.
New Youngs FC VS Ratnam SC (1-0) Hasitha Priyankara scored the only goal in 49th minute for New Youngs.
The match was played at Albert F. Peiris Stadium, Wennappuwa.
Java Lane SC VS SL Air Force SC (0-0) The match was ended in a nil all draw. The match was played on at City Football Complex.
