Name a snake after your ex-girlfriend
A Sydney Zoo has launched a Valentine's Day competition that could see you name one of their brown snakes after your exgirlfriend or boyfriend just in time for the lover's holiday.
The Wild Life Sydney Zoo announced the competition on Sunday which is also designed to raise money for the Wild Life Conservation Fund by donating the $1 entry fee.
'Is your ex a snake? If so, now is your opportunity to cement their ‘snaky status’ this Valentine's Day by naming a brown snake (one of the world’s most venomous snakes) after them at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo!' the announcement read.
To enter the competition all you have to do is visit the zoo's website and fill out the application form explaining why your ex deserves to have a snake named after them along with the $1 entry fee.
The winner will have the satisfaction of a snake being named after their ex and will also receive a certificate and the opportunity to visit the snake for free every day for the next year.
We hope that by providing someone unlucky in love the opportunity to name Wild Life Sydney Zoo’s very own brown snake after their ex, we can give them something else to celebrate on Valentine’s Day this year,' General Manager at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo Mark Connolly said.
'We’re also throwing in an annual pass to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, so that you can also visit the snake in Darling Harbour as many times as you want during the next year!'
