PM’S sanction required - Vajira

Minister Vajira Abeywardena said instructions should be taken from the Prime Minister for providing of duty free vehicles to provincial councillors.

He has expressed this at a discussion held with the Provincial Councillors of the Western Province.

Provincial Councillors of the Western Province have requested to provide them with duty free vehicles at a meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

They have pointed out that it has not been fulfilled though a number of Ministers have expressed that they would submit Cabinet Papers to provide Duty Free Vehicles for Provincial Councillors.
