CMC member requests funds from Prez

Colombo Municipal Council Member Sharmila Gonawala has requested President Maithripala Sirisena to allocate funds to purchase equipment to check the quality of water distributed by Water Supply and Drainage Board as well as imported milk powder.
She has pointed out that 200 million tax concessions have been given per year in last three years for the companies which import milk powder.
She has shown that the milk of cows and buffaloes are not included in imported milk powder and there are only lard fat of pigs or farm fat or lactose.
She points out that Sri Lanka is the second largest importer among the countries which import milk powder from New Zealand.
