Gateway College and Lyceum Nugegoda win football titles

Gateway College, Colombo and Lyceum International School, Nugegoda emerged the Under 18 and Under 14 International Schools Football Tournament champions.

In the under 18 segment Gateway College Colombo defeated Gateway College, Kandy by two goals to one.

The goals for the winners were of the boots of Binitha Chandrasena and Sumunu Kakkodaarachchi.

For Gateway, Kandy Ameen Amanulla booted the solitary goal. Aaqib Imtiaz of Gateway, Colombo was adjudged the best goal keeper, while Sumunu Kakkodaarachchi also of Gateway, Colombo won the award for the best player.

In the under 14 final, Lyceum, Nugegoda defeated Gateway, Kandy 3-0 on penalties.

Mohamed Ubaid and Hiruka Kodithuwakku of Lyceum, Nugegoda were the best gold keeper and best player respectively.
