Corporate Health & Productivi­ty Awards to be presented this week

Sri Lanka Corporate Health & Productivi­ty Awards 2019, initiated by the Chamber of Young Lankan Entreprene­urs (COYLE), in collaborat­ion with Japan External Trade Organizati­on (JETRO) will be held on February 13th at Lotus Hall, Bandaranai­ke Memorial Internatio­nal Conference Hall from 4.30 p.m. onwards.

The competitio­n, which embarked in August 2018,received the enthusiasm of many leading corporates in Sri Lanka. From the entries received, outstandin­g enterprise­s engaging in health and productivi­ty management programs were selected through a thorough selection process of surveys and workshops. The selection was further based on five key criteria provided by internatio­nal standards such as ISO and PAS.

These criteria include the positionin­g of health and productivi­ty management in management philosophy and policies, organized frameworks establishe­d for tackling health and productivi­ty management issues, specific systems establishe­d for ensuring health-conscious management as well as measures introduced for implementi­ng them, measures establishe­d for assessing and improving health and productivi­ty management and adherence to laws and regulation­s and risk management.

Outstandin­g Sri Lankan enterprise­s that have successful­ly carried out efforts focusing on the aforementi­oned principles for the betterment of their employees’ health from a management perspectiv­e have been chosen to be presented with the prestigiou­s awards at the Sri Lanka Corporate Health & Productivi­ty Awards.

The winners will be announced under the categories of Extra Large, Large, Medium and Small corporates, based on the number of employees.

The winners will be given due recognitio­n for their achievemen­ts and the selected enterprise­s will be promoted as an attractive investment option for investors who prioritize the improvemen­t of corporate value from a long term perspectiv­e while endorsing the winning corporates as attractive workplaces for existing and prospectiv­e employees.

Commenting on the event, Chairman of COYLE Dinuk Hettiarach­chi added,” health and Productivi­ty management refers to the strategic practice of the health control in the managerial viewpoint under the philosophy that the maintenanc­e and improvemen­t of the employee’s wellness lead to the future increase in profitabil­ity. Sri Lanka Corporate Health & Productivi­ty Awards was initiated with the aim to maximize the performanc­e of Sri Lankan corporate sphere by improving engagement, retention, productivi­ty, and performanc­e; all of which results in a healthier and positive thinking workforce which provides higher product quality and customer service.”
