AKYAALA: THE MOVIE MISSION of Aesthetic University students
Akyaala is the newest movie that will unspool soon on the silver screen, depicting a love triangle involving a teacher and student who are ardent dance enthusiasts. This is the maiden cinematic endeavour of final year digital cinema degree students of the University of Visual and Performing Arts. The movie was launched recently at the university premises amidst a distinguished gathering. Ishara Weerasinghe will direct the movie while Yasara Wickramasinghe will assist in the direction. Anura Kumara has written the script, Pasindu Chanaka will handle the cinematography. Arosha Wickremasinghe will be in charge of continuity, Jayani de Silva the art direction, Hiruni Siriwardana the art direction and costumes, Krishan Saranga the dance choreography, Pabasara Bandara the Sound Management and Supun Thilini the editor. Kanchana Gayani will be the production manager. The cast will include Chandrasoma Binduhewa, Imali Weerasuriya, Darshana Gunaratne, Sajith Danushka and Nikini Inesha.
