Bandara Dissanayake awarded ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’
Bandara Dissanayake, Managing Director of Sakya Academy of Higher Education and Saegis Campus Nugegoda was adjudged the Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the year 2018 at the recently concluded award ceremony at BMICH Colombo.
The Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year Awards is the ultimate accolade one can achieve as a Sri Lankan entrepreneur.
This long running award scheme, organized by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka is designed to recognize and reward entrepreneurs who reach the pinnacle of business world whilst contributing towards the national economy.
The event is organized in association with 57 member chambers and associations where entrepreneurs both at provincial and national level are awarded. Annually, the awards consist of 6 provincial awards ceremonies and a National Ceremony held in Colombo in a grand manner.
Both Sakya Academy of Higher Education and Saegis Campus under the management of Bandara Dissanayake were recognized for their tremendous contribution towards the economy of Sri Lanka and also their tiring effort of providing a better education system both locally and internationally.
“Sakya” the pioneer and the only institute to receive an ISO 9001 certification in Secondary Education industry in Sri Lanka is perhaps the most common name that comes to the minds of both parents and students who are in search of assistance for studies.
In a statement, Bandara Dissanayake said that he is highly satisfied with this great achievement and considers this as a formal gift for his teaching career now expanding more than 30 years. He further says with the present competition in education in Sri Lanka Sakya his brain child has managed to be right on top for many consecutive years and vows to produce the best education system for decades.
