Cargills Bank expands ‘Digizone’ network for greater customer service

Cargills Bank, a growing digitally driven financial entity reiterated its commitment to true digitisati­on of banking with the opening of three new Digizones in Colombo.

The state-of-the-art digital banking unit was set up to provide customers with a unique experience of solutions offered by the bank.

The opening of new units at Maharagama, Rajagiriya and Kandana gradually increases the network to five locations with Colombo 04 and Thanamalvi­la being the other two.

The Maharagama, Rajagiriya and Kandana Digizones were declared open by Area Manager Samantha Liyanaarac­hchi, Branch Manager Ranjani Shyama Davis, Assistant Area Manageress S. Nilanthi Dhammika and Branch Manager Prasanna Fernando of Cargills Food City accordingl­y.

The units were opened in the presence of Retail Banking Deputy General Manager Darshana Ratnayake, Retail Banking Head Buddhika Perera, Marketing Manager Renuka Hettiarach­chi, Maharagama Branch Manager Sajeevani Udugama and Rajagiriya Branch Manager Eranga Silva Cargills Bank.

The Maharagama Digizone is located at Cargills Food City, No.75, Dehiwala Road Maharagama. The Rajagiriya Digizone is located at Cargills Food City, No.395, Sri Jayawarden­apura Mawatha, Welikada, Rajagiriya and Kandana Digizone is located at Cargills Food City, No.39/1, Negombo Road, Kandana.

Commenting on the opening of Digizones, Cargills Bank Retail Banking Deputy General Manager Darshana Ratnayake said: “We are pleased to open our new Digizones in fast developing townships of the Western Province. Our ‘Digizone’ is unique in design and concept and comes with refinement of digital banking services available to the public 24x7. The unit is equipped with a Deposit KIOSK, ATM and a cheque deposit machine allowing customers to make cash deposits which credit funds instantly, withdraw funds, transfer funds, make cheques deposits and request online for an account. The deposit service is also available to pay other bank credit cards making it a key attribute. We plan to expand the network into more locations during this year.”
