Lanka Hospitals’ Staff Recognition Awards enhances service improvements
Lanka Hospitals PLC, the internationally accredited, multi-award-winning healthcare provider, concluded its sixth edition of the Lanka Hospitals Staff Recognition Awards, an internal hospital awards programme, which is designed to enhance the hospitals’ internal processes, customer service and other service improvements that enable the hospital to maintain high-quality standards in healthcare.
The Lanka Hospitals Staff Recognition Awards gives recognition to a range of health services such as nursing, customer care, OPD centres, billing services, in-patient services, housekeeping, out-patient and in-patient pharmacies, retail pharmacies, F&B services, F&B production and the health centres within the hospital.
“Since the time we initiated the Staff Recognition Awards in July 2018, there have been remarkable service and further process improvements at Lanka Hospitals. We have found that our aim to motivate our employees and to further advance their skills and work ethic has had a rewarding impact on Lanka Hospitals’ overall processes,” Lanka Hospitals Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Prasad Medawatte said.
“We are focused on determining the group performances and achievements of each respective department within the hospital rather than highlighting individual performances, except in special instances where individual performances need to be highlighted to encourage an individual employee’s professional progress, which in turn contributes to the overall functioning of the hospital,” Lanka Hospitals Group Chief Human Resources Officer Sanjeewa Serasinghe stated.
Each service delivered by the hospital is assessed by a credible internal panel on a daily basis with a comprehensive audit checklist, which covers general responsibilities, exceptional improvements and time management among other criteria. The awards recognition at the Staff Recognition Awards is considered in Lanka Hospitals’ annual employee KPIS, which in turn have a long-lasting, positive impact on employee remunerations.
