MESSAGE FROM THE HONY. SECRETARY SRI LANKA INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS
This year SLIA celebrates its 61st Anniversary. “Emergence – Entrepreneurial
Architect”, is the very thoughtfully selected National Conference theme to suit the requirement to the moment.
The profound shift to the new paradigm to introduce and promote entrepreneurial activity has come to the forefront, shaping the business environment throughout at all levels, warranting greater attention and understanding with the most potential economic force the world has ever experienced and the new–venture creation has been remarkable. Emergence represents a process coupled with its perspective with three entities that describes an entrepreneurial process as: the venture, the opportunity, and the entrepreneur.
It is time to establish a national policy for emerging entrepreneurs viz. “Millennial entrepreneur” who are well equipped with new technology and new business models and have a strong grasp of its business applications using digital technology and mass media.
Market driven strategies to be re-thought for sustainable rapid development in a realistic manner. The Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) and its Members are very conscious and understand the responsibility to Society and their Country. Archt. Rohana Bandara Herath, FIA (SL)
