Karannagoda grilled for 6 hours on day two

For the second day, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recorded a sixhour statement from former Navy Commander Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda yesterday.

Admiral Karannagoda arrived at the CID to give a statement on the abduction and killing of 11 youths in 20082009. On the first instance last Monday, he was questioned for over eight hours.

Earlier, the Supreme Court (SC) ordered the CID to record a statement from Admiral Karannagoda on the incident. It also issued an order preventing his arrest.
