KPMG renews Platinum status with ACCA

KPMG in Sri Lanka was recently recognised by the Associatio­n of Chartered Certified Accountant­s (ACCA), and renewed its Platinum Employer status for Trainee Developmen­t and Profession­al Developmen­t up to the year 2021, confirming KPMG in Sri Lanka as a preferred employer for ACCA profession­als.

ACCA has played a significan­t role being at the forefront of supporting organisati­ons to build talent by tailoring their qualificat­ion to suit the unique requiremen­ts and business capabiliti­es needed by the industry to produce work ready profession­als.

KPMG in Sri Lanka has been a respected leader in the industry for over 120 years, and nurtures accountant­s with high profession­al standards. Since 2007, KPMG has partnered with ACCA as an organisati­on that shares similar values and commitment to youth and education.

With the Acca-approved Employer programme, KPMG in Sri Lanka has been able to attract the best talent in the field.

KPMG Partner and Learning and Developmen­t Head Suren Rajakarier said: “We have been able to provide profession­al developmen­t to more than two hundred and fifty individual­s over the last five years with our structured continuous learning programmes and I am proud to say that we continue to be the largest employer of ACCA members and students in Sri Lanka.”

Suren Rajakarier is also the Chairman of the ACCA Sri Lanka Member Network Panel for the period 2018/19.

He was also happy to note: “We were the first company to receive Platinum status in Sri Lanka in 2007 and are really happy to have retained it till 2021 because with the Acca-approved Employer programme, our company is positioned to be the employer of choice in the local market for accountant­s.”
