One Galle Face, the muchanticipated premier luxury lifestyle destination, attracted more than 5,000 job seekers at one of Colombo’s largest job fairs held recently.

Over 2,000 job opportunities were available at the Job Fair and more than 50 tenants were on hand to meet with job seekers over the two-day event.

The vacancies were across One Galle Face Mall’s diverse business mix ranging from banking, fashion, beauty and wellness, food and beverage, entertainment and more.

Among the brands present at the fair were the four anchor tenants of the One Galle Face Mall, namely Food Studio, Keells, Odel and PVR Cinemas. Other employers at the job fair included the likes of Chili’s, an American casual dining restaurant featuring Texmex-style cuisine, L’occitaneen Provence, Longines, and Diesel. These international brands will be debuting in Sri Lanka at One Galle Face Mall.

“We are delighted with the Job Fair response. We received a lot of positive feedback from our tenants who were impressed with the fair and also the quality of job seekers whom they engaged with. We look forward to welcoming these retailers and their new hires to the One Galle Face Mall, and are excited to partner them to deliver new experiences for the community in Colombo,” said One Galle Face Centre Manager Indika Gonawela. “The One Galle Face Mall Job Fair was extremely well organised. It provided international companies like ours an invaluable chance to meet with Colombo’s local talent in a convenient and professional environment. We have made a good start to our recruitment efforts with this job fair and look forward to serving the local community when the mall opens,” said The Pizza Bakery Director Abihijit Gupta, which is new to Sri Lanka.

One Galle Face is Colombo’s first internationally developed and managed mixed-use development project by the Shangri-la Group. When it debuts in Colombo, One Galle Face Mall will boast an unprecedented variety of international and local brands across fashion, F&B, lifestyle, beauty and wellness, entertainment and more.
