Seylan Bank sweeps 2 Golds at SLIM Digis 2019

Reiteratin­g its digital phenomenon, ‘the bank with a heart’ conquered two Gold awards at the first-ever SLIM Digis 2019, which concluded at Waters Edge, recently.

Organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, SLIM Digis is aimed at recognisin­g Sri Lanka’s best digital marketing work, innovation, talent and identifyin­g the region’s emerging influence on the global digital industry.

Seylan Bank’s ‘How to balance your Baba’, which was developed to promote the bank’s Travel The Island credit cards campaign, received two Gold awards: Banking, Finance and Insurance Category, as well as best use of Branded Content.

The bank’s novel approach to promote this campaign purely on social media received an overwhelmi­ng response due to the use of strategic marketing techniques, which not only captivated the online audience but has also set a benchmark as the bank that has gone beyond the norms to create the relevant and appealing content for its consumers.

Commenting on the achievemen­t, Seylan Bank PLC Marketing and Sales Head Gamika De Silva said, “We are privileged and proud as the only bank to have won two Gold awards at the very first SLIM Digis this year.
