The terrible explosions that rocked our country

-

In the aftermath of the terrible explosions which rocked our beautiful island nation of peace loving people, who belong to different communities, we should carry our religious observances, in our homes even if we are unable to gather at places of worship, saying devotions, doing meditation, praying, etc and living according to the teachings of our respective religions.

Let us all, unite, exerting our efforts to bring relief to those who were affected, by practising loving kindness, compassion and developing virtue and wisdom. We must endeavour to overcome challenges we face, by extending our co-operation to various sectors of the community, communication of the actual facts and information, exercising due care and concern and by taking necessary action and adopting remedial measures. We ladies could especially play the roles of mothers by carrying our-acts of kindness to those little ones who have lost their own mothers and make an effort to give joy to those in despair, and console those who experience sadness so that they could stand up with inner strength.
