IAF PLANE OVERSHOOTS RUNWAY AT MUMBAI AIRPORT

MUMBAI, HINDUSTAN TIMES, 8 MAY 2019 - A transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) overran the runway while leaving from the Mumbai airport to the Yelahanka air force station near Bengaluru in Karnataka, officials said on Wednesday.

No injury was reported after the AN-32 aircraft overran runway 27 at the Chhatrapat­i Shivaji Maharaj Internatio­nal Airport late on Tuesday night, officials said. It, however, caused a delay in flight operations by 20 minutes, they added.

The secondary runway 32 is being used at the airport since the incident, authoritie­s said.
