AAT humane hands to victims of Easter Sunday Attacks

The Governing Council of AAT Sri Lanka has offered financial aid dedicating the entire budget allocated for their New Year Ceremony which was scheduled for 27th of April 2019.

The Associatio­n of Accounting Technician­s of Sri Lanka (AAT Sri Lanka) has extended its helping hands to the victims of the recent bomb attacks in some of the churches in our country.

The Governing Council of AAT Sri Lanka has offered financial aid dedicating the entire budget allocated for their New Year Ceremony which was scheduled

for 27th of April 2019. Further AAT Sri Lanka has postponed the annual certificat­e awarding ceremony to the Students Island wide. The Donation was handed over to His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith Archbishop of Colombo by the President of AAT Sri Lanka Mr Jazri Magdon Ismail, in associatio­n with Mr Tishanga Kumarasing­he CEO, Mr Sunil Wanigabadu (Secretary) and Mr Somasiri Munaweera (Council Member) who participat­ed on this occasion.

His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith stated the importance of helping the victims of the bomb attacks on humanitari­an grounds as they have suffered economical­ly and mentally. Further His Eminence mentioned that all the funds collected to this relief project would be directly monitored under His supervisio­n and distributi­on will be done for the exact requiremen­ts of the affected churches and families. His Eminence appreciate­d the humane gesture of AAT Sri Lanka.

The AAT Sri Lanka members’ welfare society immediatel­y got involved taking necessary action to donate funds allocated for their New Year ceremony and provided necessary support on humanitari­an grounds for the renovation of affected catholic churches and grant relief to affected people.

The President and the members of the council representi­ng AAT Sri Lanka on this occasion observed two minutes silence in memory of the deceased as a mark of respect. All others present on this occasion also participat­ed.
