AAT humane hands to victims of Easter Sunday Attacks

The Governing Council of AAT Sri Lanka has offered financial aid dedicating the entire budget allocated for their New Year Ceremony which was scheduled for 27th of April 2019.

The Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT Sri Lanka) has extended its helping hands to the victims of the recent bomb attacks in some of the churches in our country.

The Governing Council of AAT Sri Lanka has offered financial aid dedicating the entire budget allocated for their New Year Ceremony which was scheduled

for 27th of April 2019. Further AAT Sri Lanka has postponed the annual certificate awarding ceremony to the Students Island wide. The Donation was handed over to His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith Archbishop of Colombo by the President of AAT Sri Lanka Mr Jazri Magdon Ismail, in association with Mr Tishanga Kumarasinghe CEO, Mr Sunil Wanigabadu (Secretary) and Mr Somasiri Munaweera (Council Member) who participated on this occasion.

His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith stated the importance of helping the victims of the bomb attacks on humanitarian grounds as they have suffered economically and mentally. Further His Eminence mentioned that all the funds collected to this relief project would be directly monitored under His supervision and distribution will be done for the exact requirements of the affected churches and families. His Eminence appreciated the humane gesture of AAT Sri Lanka.

The AAT Sri Lanka members’ welfare society immediately got involved taking necessary action to donate funds allocated for their New Year ceremony and provided necessary support on humanitarian grounds for the renovation of affected catholic churches and grant relief to affected people.

The President and the members of the council representing AAT Sri Lanka on this occasion observed two minutes silence in memory of the deceased as a mark of respect. All others present on this occasion also participated.
