Turkey backs SL on defeating terrorism

The Turkish government had pledged to support in crushing terrorism, Prime Minister’s office said yesterday.

Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sedat Onal who met Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees yesterday had informed him that President of his country Recep Tayyip Erdogan had instructed him to convey that his country will support Sri Lanka in crushing terrorism.

The Deputy Minister had expressed the willingness of his country to enhance Economic ties, to associate the Military forces and intelligence services of the two nations. In that context they have also agreed to enhance defence ties.
