Mr. Jean Todt, the President of Federation Internatio­nale de l’automobile (FIA) and Special Envoy to UN on Road Safety expressed that he was deeply shocked and saddened by the terrible events that occurred in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. He states that he can only express his personal and the FIA Member Clubs sorrow in this very difficult time. He continues, when he first heard the bombing, he immediatel­y thought of the Parisian Terrorist Attack four years ago as well as the pain and uncertaint­y it caused to his country.

He also says that the loss of many innocent lives must be condemned and we all civilized people must defend our values of peace and freedom. He also assures the FIA family worldwide stands by the people of Sri Lanka in this hour of mourning.
