HOTLY-ANTICIPATED FILMS OF THE YEAR
DUE FOR RELEASE THIS SUMMER
They are two of the most hotly-anticipated films of the year, due for release this summer - with key scenes set in the British capital. And London is blown apart twice in the explosive new trailers for Spider-man: Far From Home and Men In Black International.tower Bridge, the Tower of London and a bustling high street are the backdrop for battles against evil forces as Peter Parker takes on the Elementals and Agents H and M wage war on evil aliens. In Spider-man: Far From Home, Peter (played by Tom Holland) is finding his own way in the world after the shock death of his mentor Tony Stark/iron Man.
He embarks on a school trip to Europe but is soon drawn into battle as his web-slinger alterego when he is recruited by Nick Fury to batte the Elementals four immortals with power over natural forces. He teams up with brooding superhero Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal. In action-packed scenes, a fiery giant villain is seen setting London's Tower Bridge ablaze
with smoke and flame rising from the iconic landmark as rubble rains down. Tourists on an open-top bus scream as the flames creep over the tower, before the red bus is flipped into the air by the supervillain in terrifying scenes.
The Big Smoke is also the setting for Men In Black: International, which sees a team of Uk-based agents - starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson - doing battle with the aliens. The trailer sees a smoking car wreck in Ludgate Square, with a further explosive clip showing the agents aiming their guns at supervillains. Opening with a huge warning, Tom Holland, 22, told viewers to proceed only if they've seen Avengers: Endgame already as spoilers were ahead.
