SECRETARY DEFENCE MAKES OFFERINGS AT DALADA MALIGAWA

Secretary Defence General (Retd) Shantha Kottegoda on Sunday (12) paid homage to the Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of Tooth) in Kandy and called on Most Ven. Malwatta and Asgiriya Prelates. Major General Tissa Nanayakkara, General Officer Commanding, 11 Division in Kandy welcomed the visiting state official at the entrance to the temple. Diyawadana Nilame, Nilanga Dela Bandara afterwards had a brief discussion with General (Retd) Kottegoda before he proceeded to Malwatta and Asgiriya Monasteries.

Mrs Soniya Kottegoda, the spouse of the Secretary Defence was also associated with the visit to Kandy.
