PRAYING FOR THE DEPARTED

-

Our gang who meet regularly for laughs met, but in keeping with the recent horrific bomb blasts experience, there were no laughs and jokes. Instead, we all decided to bring prayers, as there were those of all religions present and spend some time in quiet prayer, each saying our own and then praying for the country, the dead, the injured and the families of those who died.we spent a much quieter morning than usual, but relished our time together, made more comforting by the fact that we were able to share this time. The great sense of community between us came to the fore, as we discussed the situation and how we could help. It was good to be with friends who feel the same sympathy and compassion as one does, the horror keeps haunting me.. As in times when I feel down, my habit is to just pull up the drawbridge like an embattled fortress and settle in for a long siege on my own.it was only the adoration of my two dogs which made life bearable after the bomb blast killing so many innocent people.
