Saumya Amarasekera appointed as Deputy Chairperson

Saumya Amarasekera has been appointed as Deputy Chairperson of Sampath Bank, with effect from May 15, 2019.

She has been a Director at Sampath Bank since 2012.

Amarasekera, a President’s Counsel, counts over 30 years in active legal practice in Civil Law, practicing in the Original, Appellate and Supreme Courts as an attorney-at-law. She holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Pennsylvania with particular emphasis on insurance, privacy and defamation laws.
