‘Bunker Kurutu Gee’ book launch today
‘Bunker Kurutu Gee’ a collection of graffiti scribbled by soldiers who were captured and encaged behind terrorist enemy lines will be launched today under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena and security forces heads at the Sri Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi Mandiraya at 4.00pm The collection of graffiti compiled and edited by journalist Charith Kiriella has been published by Arya Foundation and will be launched on May 18 to mark ten years of the completion of civil war in Sri Lanka. The President, Secretary Defence, three forces Commanders and senior military officials will grace the occasion whilst keynote speeches will be delivered by Jackson Anthony and Nayanaka Ranwella.
Popular musicians Saman Lenin, Dayan Witharana, Duvin Kularatne and Anthony Surendra will make performances. The entire income from the sale of the book will be donated to welfare and charity of disabled war heroes.
