Updating terms of use, community standards and codes of conduct to explicitly prohibit terrorist, violent or extremist content Establishi­ng better methods for users to report or flag inappropri­ate content Enhancing and investing in technology that detects and removes terrorist and violent content Conducting appropriat­e checks on livestream­ing to reduce risk of extremist content being disseminat­ed online Publishing regular transparen­cy reports on content that is flagged and removed

Four Collaborat­ive Actions

Working collaborat­ively to share technologi­cal developmen­ts with the other companies, government­s, NGOS and educationa­l institutio­ns Creating a protocol for responding to emerging or active events on an urgent basis, so relevant informatio­n can be quickly and efficientl­y shared, processed and acted upon by all stakeholde­rs with minimal delay Educating the public about terrorist and extremist violent content online and reminding users how to report it or otherwise not contribute to its disseminat­ion Combat hate and bigotry by attacking the root causes of extremism and hate online
