Updating terms of use, community standards and codes of conduct to explicitly prohibit terrorist, violent or extremist content Establishing better methods for users to report or flag inappropriate content Enhancing and investing in technology that detects and removes terrorist and violent content Conducting appropriate checks on livestreaming to reduce risk of extremist content being disseminated online Publishing regular transparency reports on content that is flagged and removed
Four Collaborative Actions
Working collaboratively to share technological developments with the other companies, governments, NGOS and educational institutions Creating a protocol for responding to emerging or active events on an urgent basis, so relevant information can be quickly and efficiently shared, processed and acted upon by all stakeholders with minimal delay Educating the public about terrorist and extremist violent content online and reminding users how to report it or otherwise not contribute to its dissemination Combat hate and bigotry by attacking the root causes of extremism and hate online
