I think journalism, especially ethical journalism, on the whole is something we haven’t got the hang of yet. I think those who do try to give a live feed of what’s happening are trying to do what they think is right, by trying to keep us updated on the reality of the situation. But I also think they need to make a bigger effort on giving context on the footage and not just sensationalise it. The practice of ethical journalism also means they need to show respect and be accountable for their actions.
