Kavinda selected to play at Stowe School, UK
Promising cricketer from the British School in Colombo (BSC), Kavinda Subasinghe has been rewarded with a full scholarship to represent the Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, England during the upcoming First XI cricket season.
Cricket is a key sport at Stowe School which has excellent facilities for the sport. There are seven squares, 11 lanes of turf nets and 10 lanes of Astro turf nets as well as a team of specialist coaching staff available throughout the year.
The right-arm fast bowler and left-hand middle order batsman has spearheaded the British School bowling attack in the past two years and has captained the Under-15 and Under17 teams which toured Malaysia, England and India.
Kavinda also played a major role in guiding the British School to clinch the Inter-international Schools Under-17 title where he returned excellent figures of four for 17 in the final against Lyceum, Nugegoda. Altogether, Kavinda has compiled seven
centuries and 20 half centuries for his also when Kavinda Inter-schools the functioned required.
