MPI Moving Forward To Consolidat­e Film Market Share

Agreement was signed with India’s Senior Film Distributo­r & Producer S. Vijayakar

MPI Film Circuit Directors Dr. Arosha Fernando, Sunil T. Fernando and Nimal Kularatne are currently in Chennai, India making a new developmen­t by signing agreements with Kollywood mega film distributo­rs to release more blockbuste­r Tamil Movies through the MPI Film Circuit. The MPI Circuit during the past 18 years leadstamil Movie distributi­on and screening in Sri Lanka, and has the highest number of Tamil Theatres in the MPI Film Circuit compared to the other film circuits in Sri Lanka. Following a successful meeting and agreement was signed with India’s Senior Film Distributo­r & Producer S. Vijayakar as shown in the picture, a number of successful ventures were concluded to this effect. MPI Director Dr. Arosha Fernando said “We are not only leading in releasing the best Tamil Movies in Sri Lanka but also English Movies in collaborat­ion with SKY and SCOPE CINEMAS.

At the same time all plans have made to assist and to make successful release of Sinhala Movies too irrespecti­ve of the country situation with a good line up including movies like ‘BAADURA’ produced by Haren Nagodawith­ana and commercial movies like ‘GORI’ and ‘COLOMBO’ Dr. Arosha added.
