Pera Uni reopens today

Vice Chancellar of the Peradeniya University Prof. Upul Dissanayake said the university reopens today for academic activities.

He said that the Medical, agriculture, and the Engineering faculties will reopen today and the other faculties tomorrow.

OIC Peradeniya Police said the police and the security division of the university had made all arrangements with regard to security for the reopening and to provide protection to the students.

He said the motor patrol unit would carry visits at regular intervals

Prof. Dissanayake said the university had been closed for one month after the terrorist attacks that took place on April 21.
