UC Chairman appeals to public to shed fear psychosis

The public of Kattankudy should avoid fear psychosis and get back to normalcy, Kattankudy Urban Council Chairman S.H. Azfer advised.

This message was made on the loud speakers in all the mosques in Kattankudy.

According to the decision made during a discussion that was held presided over by Eastern Province Governor M.L.A.M. Hizbullah last Friday, it was resolved that the public of Kattankudy should come out of the fear psychosis and get back to normalcy.

Further, he requested the traders to keep open their trade stalls and carry out their activities as usual and to engage in prayers at nights during the Ramazan days.

The discussion was attended by Kattankudy Urban Council Chairman, Eastern Province DIG., Eastern Province Army Commander, Batticaloa District DIG, Higher officials of the Army and Police, Representatives of Muslim Movements’ Federation and the Ulamah Sabah. Many resolutions too were passed , he said.
