Sabaragamuwa Uni searched by Police

A search operation was carried out in all buildings of the Sabaragamuwa University yesterday prior to the reopening of the university today. The students who arrived between 6 a.m. and 9a.m., yesterday as advised by the administration, were subject to strict security check.

More than 100 police and security force personnel including Balangoda police, the STF , officials of the Kuruvita army camp, and Civil Security Department were deployed for the search operation.

Sniffer dogs from Embilipitiya and Ratnapura police kennel divisions were used during the search.

Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. M.sunil Shantha and several senior officials assisted the police and the security forces.
