All is well in the SL Team – De Mel

Sri Lankan Cricket Team Manager Ashantha de Mel yesterday rubbished certain reports that appeared in the Indian media suggesting ‘all is not well’ with the Sri Lankan Team.

Ashantha de Mel tour said, “It is absolutely rubbish to say that. There is no truth in this. Everything is well in the team,” he said.

“The Coach Chandika Hathurusingha and Captain Dimuth Karunaratne are going on well. In fact the entire team is in good spirit and the boys are determined to do well in the World Cup and don’t be surprised if we reach the last four,” he added.

“Yes, the boys were disappointed when the first ODI match against Scotland was washed out.”

“The forecast for the second ODI is not good but it is not that too bad also. We hope it will be at least a 20-over contest.”

“The boys want to play and win the match,” he concluded.
