US Am­bas­sador calls on Tourism Min­is­ter

United States of America Am­bas­sador Alaina Teplitz called on Tourism, Wildlife and Chris­tian Af­fairs Min­is­ter John Amaratunga, on Wed­nes­day, at the Tourism Min­istry, to dis­cuss the ways to fur­ther strengthen the ex­ist­ing bi­lat­eral ties be­tween the two coun­tries and to dis­cuss the im­prove­ments in the se­cu­rity sit­u­a­tion post-easter Sun­day ter­ror at­tacks.

The min­is­ter in­formed the am­bas­sador about the fu­ture steps to be taken by the gov­ern­ment.

SLTPB Chair­man Kishu Gomes, SLTDA Chair­man Jo­hanne Ja­yarathne and Di­nesh Weer­akkody participat­ed in the dis­cus­sions.

Teplitz was ac­com­pa­nied by Eco­nomic and Com­mer­cial Of­fi­cer Ed­uardo Garcia.
