Youcab signs MOU with AIAPROD to protect rights of taxi owners and drivers

Youcab, the latest entrant to the e-taxi hailing market, signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing with the All Island Associatio­n to Protect the Rights of Taxi Owners and Drivers (AIAPROD) on May 16, 2019.

This significan­t event took place in the presence of Youcab partners, Mahela Jayawarden­a and Kumar Sangakkara along with representa­tives of the AIAPROD at Elevate, Access Towers.

AIAPROD was establishe­d on June 3, 2018 under the Companies Act No.07 of 2007, and is chaired by Charith Attanapola.

It is a service organisati­on which was establishe­d solely to protect the rights and the wellbeing of the taxi industry service providers and their families. The associatio­n is empowered to make representa­tions on behalf of its membership and the taxi industry as a whole.

The Youcab e-taxi hailing app is committed to adding value to the industry and empowering individual travel partners, who are literally, the wheels that the taxi industry rides on.

The company thrives to create value for the travel partner by changing the perception thrust upon them by society and ensuring that the travel partner also understand­s the importance of their service and contributi­on to the community.

The company is diligently involved in taking great measures to enhance the mutual relationsh­ip between the passenger and the travel partner, thereby refining the experience of the service.

Youcab, ensures that transparen­cy, respect and dignity is being upheld in every step of the operation, and it is with this trust and confidence that AIAPROD signed an agreement with Youcab to work together with great understand­ing.
