Woman poisons children and attempts suicide

A mother of three in Saranasirigama, Girithale Polonnaruwa has taken poison in a suicidal attempt after giving poison to her three children, according to the Minneriya police.

One of her daughters aged four had died after admission to the Jayanthipura hospital, a hospital employee said.
