Religious activities held to mark Vesak

A series of religious activities to mark the Vesak festival was held at Ambalantota Theraputtabhaya historic temple with the participation of a large number of devotees.

It included offering of milk rice, Bodhi poojas, Sil campaigns, meditation sessions, preaching of sermons, and the display of Vesak lanterns.

The day’s programme was organised under the guidance of Chief Incumbent of the temple, and Chief Sanghanayaka of Italy Ven. Wagegoda Seelananda Thera.
