Pickme, Sri Lanka’s own and popular mobility technology solutions provider, has teamed up with restaurants Ministry of Crab and Next Innings to offer their customers some great deals for dining out.

In an effort to offer parking solutions to diners at the Dutch Hospital, Colombo 1, Pickme passengers dining at Ministry of Crab and Next Innings will have access to some great deals including great discounts and a whole array of other value additions from both these restaurants, which will be communicated via the social media channels of both entities.

Ministry of Crab is an exclusive fine dining seafood restaurant located in the centre of the city of Colombo. As the name suggests, there is crab, crab and more crab. But that doesn’t mean there’s a lack of variety as diners can choose from the signature lagoon crab

prepared in one of four ways; chilli crab, pepper crab, garlic or Sri Lankan crab curry and there’s also claypot prawn curry or chicken fried rice for those who fancy a change.

The restaurant itself is a unique concept brought to light by the famous Sri Lankan cricketers Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene, along with experienced Chef Dharshan Munidasa. Ministry of Crab has for a third consecutive year been named in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list of 2019.

Pickme Chief Operating Officer Isira Perara commenting on the unions said, “We are delighted to partner with Ministry of Crab and Next Innings, two of the island’s most renowned restaurants.”

“The partnership is a perfect example of how our platform is creating unique experiences in unexpected places, beyond rides. We’re making the dining experience a more convenient part of travel, in one of the island’s busiest cities.”

The other restaurant included in the offer, Next Innings is a sports lounge with its very own and unique atmosphere, which showcases international sporting events. Also a brainchild of cricketers Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene, it serves up food that is quite different to what we’ve come to expect from such establishments. The menu is presented as a scorecard with drinks making up the first innings and food the second innings. The lounge also boasts the only cricket ball-shaped oven and the cheapest beer in the area. There’s dumbbell-shaped touch table lamps and carrom board tables and your orders are served by referees, in keeping with the theme.
