New recruits should first serve in out stations: ranji th Madduma Bandara

Minister of Public Administration Ranjith Madduma Bandara has decided to deploy all the new recruits to the all island service to serve in outstations in the future before seeking posting to Colombo.

Identifying and finding solutions for the problems of the people living in villages, would help to increase the efficiency of the Public Service, it was said.

“These people have a feeling of displeasure about the Public Service, becoming incapable of attending to the needs of the public properly,” he said.

The Minister stressed the need to understand the peoples’ problems and finding proper solutions for achieving efficiency of service and thereby wining the peoples’ confidence.

In order to achieve such efficiency, the officers should begin their service island wide beyond Colombo, the Minister further said.
