Two youths robbing three people arrested

Two youths, who had beaten three others and allegedly robbing their cash amounting to Rs.235, 000 in Wellawaya Town were nabbed by the police on Saturday.

The police following public alert, intervened in the clash and took the two men into custody whilst the three victims injured in the fracas were admitted to Wellawaya Base

Hospital.

The wounded men had complained to the police that the two suspects had beaten them and relieved them of their cash.

Wellawaya Police have however, failed to trace the robbed money. Investigations were continuing.
